Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Bruce A. Pinkall, 47, Pratt, was westbound on U.S.-50 just west of Quail Creek at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 29. A deer entered the roadway from the north and was struck by the 1996 Mercury Cougar Pinkall was driving. The deer ran off and was not found. Pinkall was not injured, reports Deputy Mike Vineski.

Scott G. Yoder, 41, Augusta, was westbound on U.S.-50. Delmer W. Wilgers, 77, Palmer, was northbound on U.S.-77. Yoder, driving a 1999 Dodge Dakota, did not stop and struck Wilgers' 2001 Chevrolet S-10. Gertrude Wilgers, 71, of the home, was a passenger in the vehicle. Delmer Wilgers was taken by Florence Ambulance to St. Luke Hospital and Gertrude Wilgers was transported to St. Luke Hospital by Marion Ambulance, reports Undersheriff Randal Brazil.

Shawn M. Steele, 18, 1906 275th, Marion, was southbound on Remington just north of 210th at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 1. Steel saw a cow in the middle of the road but was unable to stop the 1992 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving. The cow was property of Dale Geis, 2209 Remington. Nichole M. Gehrke, 19, 1906 275th, Marion, was a passenger in the vehicle. No one was injured, reports Deputy Josh Whitwell.

Kristina K. Wiebe, 36, 421 340th, Tampa, was southbound on Diamond just north of 330 at 6:30 a.m. Sept. 25. A deer entered the roadway from the east ditch. Wiebe, driving a 1999 Ford Windstar was unable to avoid hitting and killing the deer. Karalee J. Wiebe, 11, of the home was a passenger in the vehicle. No one was injured, reports Deputy Schmidt.

Kyle M. Womack, 18, Wichita, was northbound on Indigo just north of 90th at 5 p.m. Oct. 3. Womack's 1998 GMC Sonoma left the road and went into the east ditch, then crossed the road and came to rest on its side. Womack was taken by personal vehicle to Hillsboro Community Medical Center, reports Deputy Whitwell.

Mary A. Roniger, 57, Route 1, Box 16A, Burdick, was westbound on K-150 just east of Wagon Wheel at 7:05 a.m. Sept. 29. A deer entered the roadway from the south ditch. Roniger, driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, was unable to avoid hitting and killing the deer. Roniger was not injured, reports Deputy Schmidt.
