Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Kristina K. Wiebe, 36, 421 340th, Tampa, was eastbound on 330th just east of Falcon at 7:05 a.m. Oct. 28 when a deer entered the roadway from the north ditch. Wiebe's 1999 Ford Windstar struck the deer. The vehicle is registered to Mark Wiebe of the home. Passenger in the vehicle was Karlee J. Wiebe, 11, of the home. No one was injured, reports Deputy Josh Whitwell.

Cameron Reimer, 1823 Remington, Marion, was eastbound on 190th just west of Nighthawk at 8 p.m. Oct. 29. A deer came out of the north ditch and was struck by Reimer's 2000 Ford Windstar. Passengers in the vehicle were Brenda Reimer, 38; Krista Reimer, 10; Tyson Reimer, 5; and Caitlin Reimer, 14; all of the home. Undersheriff Randal Brazil reports no one was injured.

Larry K. Williams, 66, Halstead, was southbound on K-15 just north of 150th at 11:15 p.m. Oct. 30. A deer was standing in the roadway and was struck by Williams' 2003 Buick Park Avenue. The vehicle is registered to Halstead Bank, Halstead. Passengers in the vehicle were Leon Schmidt, 65; Janet Schmidt, 63; and Carolyn Williams, 63; all of Halstead. No one was injured, states Deputy Larry Starkey.

Everett D. Schroeder, 63, Walton, was westbound on U.S.-50 just west of 289 mile marker at 5:25 p.m. Oct. 31. A deer entered the roadway and was struck by Schroeder's 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Schroeder was not injured, reports Deputy Whitwell.

Rex L. Burrell, 62, Wichita, was southbound on K-15 just south of 300th at 10:15 p.m. Oct. 28. A deer entered the roadway from the west and was struck by Burrell's 2002 Chevrolet C1500 pickup. Deputy Mike Vineski states Burrell was not injured. The vehicle is registered to Bear Service LLC, Wisner, Neb.

Roy W. McGonigal III, 33, 711 North Olive, Peabody, was eastbound on 110th just east of Union at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 25. A deer entered the roadway and was struck by McGonigal's 1990 International truck. The vehicle is registered to Ronald Suderman, 1035 130th, Hillsboro. McGonigal was not injured, reports Deputy Vineski.

Diana L. Costello, 48, 327 Elm Street, Marion, was southbound on Quail Creek just north of 310th at 7:20 p.m. Oct. 24 when a deer entered the roadway. Costello, driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero, was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Passengers in the vehicle were Tim C. Costello, 11, and Christopher G. Costello, 49, both of the home. No one was injured, reports Deputy Whitwell.

Beth Gravette, 28, Abilene, was southbound on K-256 just south of U.S.-56 at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 27. A deer came out of the east ditch and was struck by Gravette's 2004 Ford Mustang. Gravette was not injured, reports Undersheriff Brazil.

Brantley A. Hanna, 16, 305 South Main, Hillsboro, was northbound on Indigo at 210th at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 23. Hanna swerved his 1995 Dodge Intrepid to avoid hitting a deer and entered the west ditch. Christopher Lieder, 15, 203 South Madison, Hillsboro, was a passenger in the vehicle. No one was injured, reports Undersheriff Brazil.
