Accidents reported
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Judy A. Rich, 57, 2466 Bison, Lehigh, was backing a 2004 Ford pickup at 11:20 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 300 block of North Main, Hillsboro, when it struck a 1999 Isuzu pickup that was legally parked on the street. The Isuzu was owned by Dale S. Litter of Walton. There was less than $1,000 in damages and no injuries, reported Hillsboro Assistant Police Chief Jessy Hiebert.
Frederick W. Smith, 75, Wichita, was driving a 1994 Dodge Dakota pickup and making a U-turn on K-15 at milepost 139 at 10:45 p.m. Sept. 8, when Chelsie B. Williams, 16, Galva, was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am and did not see Smith making a U-turn and struck the vehicle. Kansas Highway Patrol reported Smith was taken to Memorial Hospital, McPherson, and Williams was transported to Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
