Accidents reported
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Alice J. Goering, 47, 647 130th, Hillsboro, was eastbound on 120th just west of Eagle at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24. A deer came out of the south ditch. Goering, driving a 2003 Saturn, was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Sergeant Jeff Soyez states Goering was not injured.
Megan M. Hein, 25, 110 Floral Drive, Hillsboro, was northbound on Indigo just north of 120th at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 28. Hein lost control of the 2001 Jeep Cherokee she was driving, struck a mailbox, and entered the east ditch. Hein was not injured, reports Deputy Larry Starkey.
Alyssa N. Luna, 15, 2575 Upland, Marion, was eastbound on 290th just east of Limestone at 10:28 a.m. Jan. 30. Luna became distracted and drifted off the road. She overcorrected the 1988 Ford Thunderbird and skidded into the north ditch. Luna was taken by Tampa Ambulance to St. Luke Hospital, Marion, reports Deputy Aaron Waddell.
