Area man dies in ATV accident
Robert A. Potocnik Jr., 41, Herington, died Saturday at Enid, Okla., as a result of injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident.
Potocnik was born in Marion and was a Centre High School graduate. He married Marnie Bina of Marion, and was the son-in-law of Martin and Sandy Bina of Marion.
No other details of the accident were available at press time.
Main Street Café plans expansion
Main Street Café in Durham will be closed Oct. 8-13 for remodeling.
Owner Wendell Wedel recently announced purchase of the adjoining building to the north, the former Durham library.
He plans to make a doorway between the two buildings to provide more dining area. The back of the library building will house a bakery.
The present dining room also will be refurnished.
Wedel said he had been considering moving his business to Hillsboro but opted to expand in Durham.
The additional space will allow for a less crowded kitchen and a separate baking area so he can offer more choices to customers.
