Arnhold, Ploutz are MHS students of the month

Chelsea Arnhold and Russell Ploutz have been named students of the month at Marion High School.

A senior, Chelsea's career at MHS has been varied involving both sports and the fine arts.

Chelsea has been a member of the wrestling squad, competing at state three years, cross country, track, volleyball, and cheerleading.

She's been a lead actor in the annual musical, performed in school plays, was a member of the forensics and dance squads, and was involved in band, choir, and the MHS Singers.

Within the community, she is involved on the Good News Christian Church worship team, helped with Kiwanis dinner events, and been involved in several children's book drives.

Chelsea and her parents, Ken and Teri Arnhold, live at 128 N. Lincoln in Marion. She has two siblings, Levi and Leah Arnhold.

Winding up his junior year at MHS, Russell has been involved in sports and music while at the school.

He has been a key member of the football, basketball, and track teams. Russell is a member of the MHS band and jazz band. He also is a member of National Honor Society.

The son of Verna and Stan Ploutz, Russell and his family live at 705 S. Freeborn in Marion. He has one sister, Ashley.
