Arrests made at underage alcohol party at Lehigh

A complaint was made at 8 p.m. Feb. 3 by a citizen at Lehigh regarding an ATV being driven around at night, making loud noises. Deputies and officers arrived later in Lehigh and found an underage alcohol party on Main Street. After an investigation and interviews, deputies obtained information on the adults who bought and provided alcohol for the party of minors. Sergeant Jeff Soyez states one adult and three minors were arrested and detained for further investigation. Approximately $90 in alcohol and liquor products were confiscated.

At 12:50 a.m. Feb. 4 a driver who was eastbound on U.S.-56, just east of Remington, was having difficulty staying in the appropriate lane of traffic. The driver crossed the fog line and was stopped by Deputy Whitwell. As Whitwell approached the vehicle, he smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana. The vehicle was searched and marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found.

Two individuals were arguing at a residence in Florence at 5 a.m. Feb. 2. One individual held the victim on the ground and also pushed victim. The alleged suspect was found on U.S.-50 at Mustang passed out in a vehicle. The individual was arrested by Undersheriff Randal Brazil for criminal threat, battery, driving under the influence of alcohol, tag not assigned to vehicle, and no insurance.

At 9 p.m. Feb. 5, between Marion County Lake and Peabody, two individuals began arguing. A victim was struck in the face, reports Undersheriff Brazil.

Between 4 p.m. Jan. 27 and 4 p.m. Jan. 29, individuals broke out the window of a county-owned road grader which was parked at 703 Santa Fe, Durham. The window is valued at $750, reports Deputy Larry Starkey.
