Art in the Park at a glance

— WHEN: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

— WHERE: Central Park, Marion.

— PARKING: Downtown parking will be at a premium. Shuttle buses will run every 15 minutes throughout the day for customers' convenience. Visitors can park at two locations, on the west or east edge of town.

West side shuttle bus location: Marion Die and Fixture, 421 W. Main.

East side shuttle bus location: Marion Baseball Complex, Eisenhower Drive, just off U.S.-56.

— COST: Admission is free.

— WHAT'S AVAILABLE: Approximately 240 vendor booths will offer a variety of items including barbed wire art, tie-dye clothing, alpaca fiber products, antler art, limestone and metal art, soaps, candles, baskets, clothing, jewelry, photography, cedar flutes, bamboo panpies, lighted glass blocks, food, and other items too numerous to mention.

— ENTERTAINMENT: Live entertainment will be provided by "Michael's Variety Music Show," starring Michael Harber. Selections range from the "golden oldies to the mid-1990s."

— FOOD: Hungry shoppers will find a plethora of appetizing choices in the food court. Choices include brisket sandwiches, funnel cakes, bierocks, baked potato bar, hamburgers, polish sausage, roasted pork sandwiches, roasted corn, hot dogs, chili dogs, carmel apple slices, Santa Fe chicken wraps, ribs, smoked turkey legs, Reuben sandwiches, Philly cheesesteak, homemade cinnamon rolls, sloppy joes, lemonade, limeades, pop, water, and more.

— GIFT CERTIFICATES: Marion Chamber of Commerce Art in the Park committee will give away 20 gift certificates each amounting to $10 at 4 p.m. They may be used at any booth before the close of the show.
