Art in the Park is Saturday

Thousands of residents and visitors will flock to Marion's Central Park Saturday for the annual Art in the Park craft show.

Nearly 225 vendors will sell homemade craft items from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

New items will be offered by vendors as well as typical craft favorites.

A variety of food vendors also will be available, representing local businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations.

Shuttle buses will be available that will allow customers to park and ride for free.

Customers can park their vehicles in parking lots at Marion Die & Fixture on West Main Street or Marion Baseball Complex on Eisenhower Drive and ride a bus to and from the park.

Parking spaces in front of the park should be made available for customers to load purchased items.

Vendors will be allowed Friday to set up their booths.

Local Boy Scout troops again will assist vendors Friday with unloading merchandise and will patrol the park overnight.

A drawing will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday where craft customers may enter to win 10 $20 gift certificates to be used at any booth between the time of the drawing and when the event closes at 5 p.m.

Drawing registration will be held at the information tent.

There is no admission to enter the show.
