Arthur Lewerenz
Arthur L. Lewerenz, 71, of Topeka, died May 1, 2005.
Born Feb. 8, 1934, at Wichita, he was the son of Arthur and Emma (Riffel) Lewerenz.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He operated Lewerenz Hardware and Implement dealerships in Marion and Lincolnville, taught at Wichita State university, and worked for Kansas Dept. of Social & Rehabilitation Services and Kansas Legal Services.
He married Susan Olin. She preceded him in death.
On June 28, 1975, he married Joan Stuhlsatz at Topeka.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; daughter, Sarah Knutson of Lawrence; and two granddaughters.
Mass of Christian burial was held at Assumption Catholic Church, Topeka.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial funds were established with Guardian Angel Scholarship Fund in care of Topeka Community Foundation, The Marian Clinic, or Assumption School.
