Assisted living facility to hold open house Saturday

An open house is planned from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Marion Assisted Living Residence, 200 Eisenhower Drive.

Funded by local investors and developed by Brooks Development Company of Wichita, the 18-unit apartment complex is available for those in need of care.

The facility is designed for elderly people who want and are able to maintain their independence with some assistance with daily living.

Meals, housekeeping, medication assistance, 24-hour staff, and activities are among the amenities provided to residents.

Other amenities include a tornado shelter, large screen TV room, assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and other personal services, beauty and barber services, emergency call system, and soaking bath.

Prospective residents have two sizes of apartments to choose — standard and deluxe.

The general contractor of the project was Pinnacle Construction Group, Inc. of Wichita.

Local subcontractors were Hett Construction of Marion, Flaming's Heating, Air Conditioning, Inc. of Marion, and Kunkel Construction of Hillsboro.

Some apartments are still available. For more information, call Jennifer Gaines at (620) 382-3000.
