Augusta Kleiber
Augusta Kleiber, 93, died Dec. 30, 2004, at Hillsboro.
Born Oct. 27, 1911, in Council Grove, she was the daughter of Fred and Marie (Becker) Riffel.
On May 21, 1929, she married Donald Duke at McCracken. He died in 1957.
She married Vernon Kleiber on Jan. 11, 1960, at Topeka. He died in 1982.
She was a homemaker and member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Joyce Duke of Marion and Gene and Shirley Duke of Durham; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Clark Davis officiating.
Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with the church and Salem Nursing Home.
