Bands offer variety, fun

Two distinctly different bands will perform June 2 and 3 during Chingawassa Days.

Members of Second Nature strive for a high-energy show.

The group has an average of 12 years of experience playing in clubs and taverns in Kansas. Covering the best classic rock songs, the five-member band plays songs by AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Loverboy, Kiss, Night Ranger, Poison, Rick Springfield, and Van Halen.

A lead female singer provides lead vocals for classic female rock songs by Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Blondie, and No Doubt.

The band will perform June 2 and is the warm-up band for The Guess Who June 3.

The Callahan Band will perform twice on June 3 during the festival — at noon and 3:15 p.m.

The Wichita band provides a combination of rockabilly, comedy, and bluegrass.

Two of the three members originally are from Burns — Jason Callahan and Aaron Waddell.

Previously the band has performed at The Coneburg Inn, Peabody.
