Bernhardt to celebrate 95th birthday years ago
Sadie Bernhardt will celebrate her 95th birthday from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church.
A reception will be hosted by her daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Dick Schwartz.
Sadie was born in 1912, on a farm southwest of Marion. She graduated from Canton High School and attended Tabor College at Hillsboro.
She and her husband, Albert owned Marion Hardware and Gift Shop for 25 years. She taught in many schools in the county, including Bown-Corby and the junior high school in Marion.
Sadie's many friends, relatives, and former students are invited to help her celebrate her birthday.
It is requested there be no gifts.
