Bernice Karber

Bernice Justine Karber, 86, died Dec. 16, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, Okla.

Born July 10, 1919, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Gerhard and Anna (Loewen) Suderman.

She attended Ebenfeld Grade School and graduated from Tabor Academy in May 1938.

On July 27, 1941, she married Albert Karber at Hillsboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; one son, Charles Edward Karber in 1947; one brother, Jonas Suderman; and two sisters, Alma Jost and Anna Siemens.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Debbie Karber of Fairview, Okla.; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and John Franz of Buhler; brother, Eli Suderman of Hillsboro; sister, Irene Siebel of Hillsboro; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church, Fairview, Okla., with the Rev. Gary Janzen officiating.

Burial was in South Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with Fairview Fellowship Home.
