Bill Meyer dies, service is Friday
Former Marion County Record editor and publisher Bill Meyer died Tuesday evening at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was 81.
Meyer was president of Hoch Publishing Co. Inc., which owns the Marion County Record, Peabody Gazette-Bulletin, and Hillsboro Star-Journal.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Valley United Methodist Church, 300 E. Santa Fe, Marion. A reception will follow the service.
Memorial funds have been established with the Meyer Family Trust Fund in care of Kansas Newspaper Foundation or St. Luke Hospital, Marion.
