Bolte serves in Iraq
CW3 Joseph Bolte was deployed Nov. 18 to Iraq as part of the U.S. Army 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He is assigned to 3/29 Field Artillery Battalion, stationed at Fort Carson, Colo.
Bolte is a 1986 graduate of Marion High School and the son of Johnny and Cathy Bolte of Bullhead City, Ariz., (formerly of Marion), and the son-in-law of Dwight and Jane Gooding of Marion.
His wife Marcia, and children Ryan and Kaitlyn, will remain at Fort Carson, Colo., during his deployment.
Thrift store opens Dec. 30
The grand opening of St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shoppe, 404 E. Main, Marion, will be at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 30.
Donated clothing, furniture, and household items will be available for sale to the public. All proceeds will benefit St. Luke Hospital and Marion County Hospital District #1.
Refreshments will be served.
