Michael and Jennifer Strickland of Emporia announce the birth of a son, Braden Wayne, born May 7, 2008.
He weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces.
He and his two-year-old sister, Sydney Renee, are the grandchildren of Margaret Pippin of Marion, Vic Hanson of Salina, and Carl and Cathy Strickland of Oswego.
Great-grandparents are Don and Jo Wimp and Betty Strickland, all of Oswego.
May Warwick of Oswego is the great-great-grandmother.
