Bright future

To the Editor:

On Oct. 24, at Green Acres Raceway in Marion, a motocross was held. It was the fall championships, the last race on the KORR schedule. It also is the Justin Anderson Memorial Race. We contacted your paper and asked if a reporter would come and cover the race and let people know about Justin.

We met Mike Norris at the track. He was very polite and courteous. He commented he was fairly new to the area and unfamiliar with motocross. He asked several questions about Justin and motorcycle racing. He truly wanted to know about a young man whom he had never met, a young man who left us too soon.

Upon reading the article in the following Wednesday's edition, we were deeply moved by it. It brought to life the joy of knowing and loving Justin along with the sadness and pain of losing him. Mike did an outstanding job on this.

The purpose of this note is to let you know how much we appreciate Mike and the Record for covering the story. You should feel very fortunate to have such a compassionate and professional reporter as Mike Norris on your staff. He should have a bright future in journalism. Again we thank you.
