There will be a covered dish supper and meeting for the Corlberg-Smith #147 American Legion and auxiliary at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Burdick Legion hall. This is to celebrate the Legion's birthday and present 60-year membership certificates to Elmer Otte and Warren Dick. Relatives, Friends, and others are invited.
Garth and Pam Strand of Buhler were Saturday guests of Irvin and Audine Strand.
Lee Remy visited Paul Anderson Sunday at Council Grove.
Marvin and Shelly Peterson and Josie of Lincolnville were Feb. 14 visitors of Mary Deane Peterson. Maureen Peterson was a Thursday evening visitor.
Charles Gutsch attended the Herington Middle School vs. Mission Valley Middle School basketball game Thursday evening at Herington. Anthony Gutsch, a seventh grader, plays on the Herington team.
Keep the family of Arlene Carlson in your thoughts and prayers this week. They have had another death in their family. Arlene's nephew, Wayne Knuth of Emporia, died early Sunday morning.
Nancy Hanson accompanied Mary Deane Peterson to Marion Saturday morning to attend the junior varsity tournament. Centre placed second. They ate out in Marion before returning home.
Dean Forsberg, Savannah and Ethan were Monday afternoon visitors of Evelyn Forsberg. Ethan was a Wednesday afternoon visitor.
Earl and Lois Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Ruth Riggin had Sunday dinner together at the Mansion at Herington. They were celebrating Ruth Riggin's birthday.

Mary Deane Peterson and Josie Peterson attended the 50th anniversary dinner, reception, and dance Feb. 17 for Ralph and Margaret Dillon at the Herington Community Building. It was a wonderful party and she got to visit with many old friends.
Harry Schump of Herington took Evelyn Forsberg and Dean Forsberg to Woodbine Thursday for lunch. They visited with him at his home in the afternoon.
Josie Peterson of Lincolnville spent from Saturday afternoon through Monday evening with Mary Deane Peterson.
There was a birthday celebration at the Pizza Hut at Council Grove Saturday noon for Ethan, Savannah, and Joe Forsberg. Those attending were Harry Schump, Dean and Nanette Forsberg, Savannah and Ethan, Joe Forsberg, Allen and Connie Thomas, and Evelyn Forsberg. Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan visited with the group later.
