There will be a community bridal shower for Kim Biehler, bride-elect of Erik Johnson of Grand Rapids, Mich., at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Kim is the daughter of Tim and Karen Biehler of Herington.

Bill Newman of the National Weather Service of Topeka was a Tuesday morning visitor of Evelyn Forsberg. Dean Forsberg was a dinner guest at noon.

There will be a Burdick Senior Citizens' meeting at noon Friday at the Burdick Legion hall. Food will be provided. There will be a group of Centre Elementary School students and Lynley Remy bringing a program of music at 1 p.m.

Perry Gutsch of Herington was a Monday afternoon visitor of Charles and Darlene Gutsch.

Burdick Council of Clubs met April 2 at the Burdick Legion shelterhouse. Ten members and four guests were present for the meeting. Current officers were re-elected for the next year. Other items on the agenda were theme, Sunday night and Monday entertainment, and grand marshal. A calendar of events was sketched and various assignments were made with reports at the next meeting which is tentatively planned for May 14 at the Legion shelterhouse.

Darlene and Charles Gutsch were Easter Sunday dinner guests of Bruce Winkler at Marion. Other guests were Dorothy Rindt, Debi Kreutzman, Lisa Anderson, Doris and Gene Winkler, Brian and Sherri Hess, Macy, Kelli, Erika, and Jake.

Ruth Riggin was an Easter Sunday dinner guest of Brian Sader, Misty and Sami at Salina. Other guests were his children, Brylea and Trevin Sader, Lyal and Julie Sader, Chris and Tisha Bielefeld, Megan and Seth. They enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the afternoon.

Mike and Jane Rickenbrode of Council Grove and Casey Crist of Emporia were Friday morning visitors of Evelyn Forsberg. Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Rose Hill and Nanette Forsberg were afternoon visitors.

Those attending an Easter dinner at the home of Bret and Lisa Beye at Herington were Samantha and Eliabeth Beye, Cuyler and Chelsea Cowart, Ron and Jenny Schrader, Shae and Hunter, Cedar and Kelli Salazar, Rigo and Mario, Scott and Josie Peterson, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Mary Deane Peterson, Roger Peterson, and Rolland Peterson. Afternoon callers were Sara Denly of Winfield, Josh Fullerton, and Emily Peterson of Lincoln, Neb.

Harry Schump of Herington was a Monday afternoon visitor of Evelyn Forsberg.

Glen Carlson was a Wednesday afternoon visitor of Evelyn Forsberg. Dean Forsberg was a Thursday afternoon visitor.

Gayla Deines took her mother, Darlene Gutsch to an appointment at Junction City Thursday afternoon and also helped her with some shopping.

Easter dinner guests of Mike and Linda Carlson were Charles and Arlene Carlson, Ken and Alice Peterson, Jonnie and Cicely Karst, Rylee and Preslee, and herb and Tersa Tressler.

Harry Schump and Evelyn Forsberg were Easter Sunday dinner guests of Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan at Council Grove. Other guests were Carol and Bill Rickenbrode and Bernice Rickenbrode.

Those helping Earl Peterson celebrate his birthday Saturday evening at the Mexican restaurant at Hillsboro were Phil and Jamie Peterson and Chris, Sara Fasbender, Jim and Marilyn Peterson, Mike Peterson and Kasey, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, Matt and Jamie Dalke, Reagan and Tyler, and Lois Peterson.

Darrell and Candice Denault attended Easter church services with Neva Peterson then brought dinner to her and spent the day.

Charles and Arlene Carlson attended the bull sale at the Cow-Camp Ranch at Ramona Saturday afternoon.

Earl and Lois Peterson were Easter Sunday dinner guests of Alfred and Darlene Sondergard at Ramona.

Forrest and Marie Anderson were weekend guests of Gary and Karen Korte at Emporia. Other guests were Erin Korte and Ian Korte.

D. Lowell Miller stopped at the Charles Gutsch home Tuesday afternoon to give them news of his upcoming move to Arizona. His daughter, Donna Rogers of Tucson, Ariz., and her daughter Trisha and husband Tom Bauer are arriving Saturday to help him get ready to move. His new address will be D. Congratulations to Tate Omli, 14, son of Tom and Susan Omli of Brookville and grandson of Dan and Linda Peterson of Burdick for his state championship Saturday and Sunday at a kids' meet in Topeka.

Juanita (Smith) Ford, Salina, daughter of the late Harvey and Jennie Smith, had the misfortune to fall in her backyard and brake both her arms. She is recuperating at Pinnacle Care, 2936 Georgia Ave., Salina 67401. Remember her with cards and your prayers.

Linda Peterson, Nancy Riggin, Susan Carlson, Bethany Carlson, Marilyn Peterson, and Barbara Kurtenbach were hostesses April 11 for the community baby shower for Tory and John Jost of St. Marys at the Burdick United Methodist fellowship hall. Twenty- five guests attended the shower, including special guests Lorene Jost of Newton, Betty Hecht of Seneca, Diana Jost, Beth Weibert of Dalhart, Texas, Janet Nuss and Angie Jost of Hillsboro, and Annette Jost of Texas. Two games were played. Tory opened her many gifts and refreshments of fruit salad and cookies were served.

Charles and Arlene Carlson attended Tanner Brunner's confirmation Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ramona. They were guests at a dinner given in his honor by his parents, Tracy and Yvonne Brunner at their home. Other guests were Kent and Jean Brunner, Mark Brunner, Jill Brunner and Tucker, Loren and Orville Brunner, Nolan and Melissa Brunner and Leah, Mike and Linda Carlson, Bernie and Ann Koch, Gabe and Emily Schlicku, Virginia Shields, Ken Shields, and Harvey Falen.
