Approximately 35 guests attended the community baby shower Sunday afternoon for Julie Carlson and baby daughter, Maria of Bel Aire, which was held at the Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Special guests were Julie's mother, Kathryn Rickenberger of Andale, Lucas' mother, Susan Carlson, and grandmother, Ruth Ann Carlson, aunts, and cousins. Hostesses were Diana Jost, Linda Peterson, Karen Carlson, Janet Matz, and Bethany Carlson.
Mrs. Norman Engler and Samantha visited Neva Peterson Thursday afternoon.
Eric Johnson, Kim (Biehler) Johnson, and their relatives are from Minnesota, not Michigan as erroneously reported.
Many people from the Burdick community attended the Irwin and Audine Strand auction Sept. 14 at the Herington Community Building. Burdick UMW served the lunch and many were involved with preparing food and helping serve it. We wish the Strands well in their new location at Herington.
Evelyn Forsberg was a Monday afternoon visitor of Harry Schump at Herington. Dean Forsberg was a Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon visitor of Evelyn Forsberg.
Jim and Marilyn Peterson and Phil and Jamie Peterson were Tuesday evening visitors of Earl and Lois Peterson and their houseguests, Keith and Dianne Miller, who have been visiting Earl and Lois since Labor Day. The Millers returned to their home at Grand Junction Wednesday.
