Charles and Arlene Carlson accompanied Mike and Linda Carlson to Wichita to the home of Jonnie and Cicely Karst and Rylee for Saturday dinner and a party in the afternoon for Preslee's first birthday. Other guests were Russell and Lily Hurd of Mulvane, Bob and Sandy Karst of Wichita, and many other friends.

Forrest and Marie Anderson visited with Maureen and LaVern Johnson at Lindsborg Saturday afternoon.

The Burdick Senior Citizens will be hosting a catered Thanksgiving dinner at noon Friday at the Legion hall. A program will be given by Bob and Hallie Novak about their trip to Czechoslovakia.

Monday dinner guests of Evelyn Forsberg were Harry Schump of Herington and Dean Forsberg and Logan Dunkin of Rose Hill. Afternoon visitors were Nanette Forsberg and Savannah and Marcus and Sabrina Dunkin.

Tuesday evening visitors of Charles and Darlene Gutsch were Gayla Deines, Jessica, Shelby, and Justin and Dustin Burnett of Lincolnville.

About 100 attended the pancake feed Nov. 4 at the Legion Hall held by the Corlberg-Smith #147 American Legion and Auxiliary.

Dean Forsberg was a Tuesday dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg.

Memorial services were held Nov. 4 at Hebron Lutheran Church for Yolanda Sandberg, wife of the late Rev. Harold Sandberg. Rev. Sandberg grew up at Burdick. Bill Peterson officiated at the service in the absence of Rev. John Gerry who is hospitalized. Relatives from several states attended as well as Yolanda's relatives from McPherson County.

Evelyn Forsberg visited with Harry Schump of Herington Wednesday morning. Dean Forsberg visited with Evelyn Forsberg Thursday afternoon.

Marie Anderson was a Thursday afternoon visitor of Mary Deane Peterson. Forrest and Marie Anderson brought supper to Mary Deane Thursday evening from Al's Café.

Evelyn Forsberg visited Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan at Council Grove Friday afternoon. Wade and Morgan returned home with her and stayed overnight and Saturday. Mike and Jane Rickenbrode came Saturday evening to pick up the children.

About 50 people gathered at Burdick United Methodist fellowship hall Sunday evening to participate in the shoe box party. This is an international event. Shoe boxes provided by Karen Biehler were wrapped with gift paper and filled with items for boys and girls. Members of the church provided the items. Refreshments were enjoyed by the busy helpers during the evening.

Those who went to Sunday dinner at the Mansion at Herington were Lois and Earl Peterson, Ollie Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, Ruth Riggin, and Neva Peterson.

Shelly Peterson of Lincolnville and Mary Deane Peterson were Sunday dinner guests of Bill and Judy Peterson at Herington.

Harry Schump was a Sunday dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg. Dean and Nanette Forsberg and Logan Dunkin were Sunday afternoon visitors. Savannah and Ethan Forsberg were Sunday evening visitors.

Callers of Mary Deane Peterson this week were Lois Peterson, Nancy Hanson, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Lisa Beye, Cuyler and Chelsea of Herington, Phil Peterson, Jim Peterson, Ollie Peterson, Angela Basore, Morgan Rickenbrode of Council Grove, and Marvin and Shelly Peterson and Josie of Lincolnville.

Remember to keep Pastor John Gerry in your prayers. He is in the hospital at Junction City.

Neva Peterson had the following visitors this week: Ken and Isla Bryant of Wichita, Nadine James of Emporia, and Jack and Nancy Riggin. Earl Peterson was a Sunday visitor and brought Neva the church bulletin.

Marcus and Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Rose Hill were Tuesday afternoon visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Those attending card club at Homestead Village Sunday evening, hosted by Vic and Helen Brunner of Herington were Ruth Riggin, Linnea Barlow, and Earl and Lois Peterson.

Dean Forsberg was a Wednesday morning and dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg and Ethan Forsberg was a Wednesday evening visitor.

Perry Gutsch and Anthony of Herington visited with Charles and Darlene Gutsch Friday evening.

Evelyn Forsberg visited with Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan at Council Grove Friday afternoon. Wade Rickenbrode came home with Evelyn and spent the weekend.

Charles and Arlene Carlson visited Sunday afternoon with Kent and Jean Brunner, Jill Brunner and Tucker at Lost Springs.

Candice Deneault of Salina was guest of Neva Peterson from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening.

Evelyn Forsberg and Wade Rickenbrode were Saturday morning visitors of Mary Deane Peterson. Ethan Forsberg was a Saturday afternoon visitor of Evelyn Forsberg and Wade.

Rylee Karst of Wichita was a guest of her grandparents, Mike and Linda Carlson this week. Mike Carlson and Rylee Karst visited several times this week with Charles and Arlene Carlson.

Evelyn Forsberg took Wade Rickenbrode back to his home at Council Grove Sunday and had dinner with Jane Rickenbrode, Morgan and Wade.

The Kansans attending the 90th birthday celebration of Ralph Hedstrom held in Moore, Okla., Oct. 28 were Doris Kuchar of Hillsboro, Bruce and Alona Hedstrom of Lost Springs, and Byron and Jeany Hedstrom of Mulvane.
