Perry Gutsch of Herington spent Tuesday morning and part of the afternoon visiting Charles and Darlene Gutsch. He shampooed their carpets and helped with other cleaning chores.

Twenty-nine people received flu shots during a clinic Nov. 21 at the Legion hall. The clinic was provided by Linda of the Morris County Health Department.

Dorothy Rindt of Wichita and Ken and Margie Nienstedt of Marion hosted a Thanksgiving dinner Thursday at Burdick United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Others attending were Kenny and Bonnie Rindt, Gene and Doris Winkler, Bruce Winkler, Brian and Sherri Hess, Macy, Kelli, Erika, and Jake, Glen and Pam Hett and Kyle, all of Marion; Samantha Hett of Dodge City; Gary Nesser and Elizabeth of Florence; Beverly Richmond, Doris Czarnowsky, and McKenzie Hamm, Lincolnville; Jeff and Gayla Deines, Jessica, Shelby, and Justin, Ramona; and Charles and Darlene Gutsch, Burdick.

Mike and Denice Hageberg and Trevor hosted a Thanksgiving dinner Thursday at their home. Guests were Steven Hageberg, Gary and Marilyn Hageberg, Theresa Hageberg and Phillip, Kenny Roberts and Cody of Topeka, Denice's father, Dean DeSpain of Lewisburg, and her great-grandmother, Connie of Kansas City, Mo., Diane Dalton and Donna and children of Hillsboro, Carol Dutton and family of Manhattan, and sons, Kevin and Terry and daughter, Tanya, and her son Tanner, all of Olathe.

Garth and Pam Strand, Molly and Adam of Buhler and Greg and Rita Strand of Olathe came Thanksgiving Day to visit Irwin and Audine Strand and brought dinner.

Janine Hageberg was a Saturday and Sunday guest of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg.

There was a "hanging of the greens" Sunday afternoon at Burdick United Methodist Church. After a noon lunch of soup, relishes, and dessert, the church and fellowship hall were decorated with greens, trees, and other decorations for the Advent season and Christmas. Twenty to 25 people were present to help with this event.

Charles and Arlene Carlson joined relatives and friends at a Thanksgiving evening supper at the home of Tracy and Yvonne Brunner and Tanner at Ramona. Some of the other guests were Kent and Jean Brunner, Jill Brunner and Tucker, and Nolan and Melissa Brunner and Leah of Herington.

Forrest and Marie Anderson were houseguests of Gary and Karen Korte at Emporia from Wednesday through Saturday morning. Gary and Karen entertained with a dinner Wednesday evening. Other guests were Eric Korte of Columbia, Mo., Ian Korte of Emporia, and Erin Korte of Manhattan. Forrest and Marie accompanied Gary and Karen Korte to Arkansas City Thursday noon for a Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Mary Korte.

Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bielefeld, Megan and Seth of Solomon entertained Nov. 26 with a Thanksgiving dinner. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stika, Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki of Tampa, Lisa Hanschu and Anna Weber of Ramona, Dale and Carol Sader and Rachael of Lindsborg, Brian Sader, Trevin, Brylee, Missy, and Samantha, Lyle and Julie Sader of Salina, and Ruth Riggin of Burdick.

Ruth Riggin joined family members Nov. 19 at a dinner at Salina to celebrate Julie Sader's birthday. Others attending were Lyle Sader, Brian Sader, Trevin, Brylee, Missy, and Samantha of Salina and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bielefeld, Seth and Megan of Solomon.

Lyle and Julie Sader of Salina, Jack and Nancy Riggin, and Ruth Riggin had Thanksgiving Day dinner at a restaurant in Herington.

Wednesday visitors of Mary Deane Peterson were Lisa Beye and Cuyler of Herington and Rigo and Mario Salazar of Wichita.

Mary Deane Peterson accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peterson of Herington and Doreen Carlson of Chappel, Neb., to Winfield Thursday to have Thanksgiving dinner with Dave and Sara Denly, Ben and Abby. Bill and Mary Deane returned home that evening and Doreen and Judy stayed for a longer visit.

Burdette Peterson and Jenny Schrader, Shae and Hunter of Wichita were Friday morning visitors of Mary Deane Peterson. Maureen Peterson stops by each day to change the dressing on Mary Deane's foot.

Saturday afternoon visitors of Mary Deane Peterson were Dick and Margaret Peterson of Springfield, Mo., Scott Peterson of El Dorado, and Josie Peterson of Lincolnville. Josie spent the night and Sunday. Marvin Peterson was a Sunday evening caller and Josie returned home with him.

Charles and Darlene Gutsch attended an 18th birthday party for Jessica and a 12th birthday party for Justin Saturday evening at the home of Jeff and Gayla Deines. Those attending besides the honored guests, their parents, and sister, Shelby were Merv and Leona Deines, Terry and Julie Deines, McKenzie, Dillon, and Carly, Debbie Coup and Samantha, Perry and Amy Gutsch, Anthony and Whitney, Weldon and Rosemary Deines, and Kathy Beisel.
