Shirley Miller went to Salina Sunday to bring Goldie Steely to the UMW dinner and program. She was glad to visit with all of her Burdick friends. She told me she keeps track of us through the Herington Times, Council Grove Republican, and Marion County Record. A poinsettia plant was presented to her.

Charles Gutsch attended the Esther Club OES supper and meeting Monday night at Herington.

Candice Denault of Salina brought Sunday dinner to Neva Peterson and helped with some chores.

Dean Forsberg was a Tuesday and Thursday dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg. Ethan Forsberg was a late Tuesday afternoon visitor.

Friday evening visitors of Mary Deane Peterson were Eric Peterson of Emporia and Marvin Peterson of Lincolnville.

Perry Gutsch visited Charles and Darlene Gutsch Monday morning and brought food for supper.

Harry Schump of Herington took Evelyn Forsberg to Herington for supper Thursday evening and spent the evening visiting.

Charles Gutsch attended the invitational basketball tournament Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. He watched the Centre teams play.

Dean and Nanette Forsberg took Nancy Hickman and Evelyn Forsberg out for supper Saturday evening at Herington. Joe Forsberg of Salina joined them.

Josie Peterson of Lincolnville spent the weekend with Mary Deane Peterson. Bill Peterson of Herington and Josie Peterson were Sunday dinner guests of Mary Deane Peterson.

Charles Gutsch, along with other Burdick people, attended the Centre Elementary School program, "A Holiday Spectacular," Thursday evening at Centre High School. Directors were Kenny Roe, band instructor, and Lynley Remy, vocal instructor.

Harry Schump of Herington was a Sunday afternoon and supper guest of Evelyn Forsberg. Savannah Forsberg was a Sunday afternoon visitor.

Burdick UMW held their annual Christmas party Sunday noon with a potluck dinner in Burdick United Methodist church fellowship hall following church. About 50 people enjoyed the noon meal. A program following dinner was given by Pastor Rick and Khrista Branson. They sang a Christmas carol duet and dressed as clowns, presented a humorous skit about a birthday party for Jesus. The members sang Christmas carols, revealed Prayer Pals, and opened gifts.

Lee and Elinor Remy and Earl and Lois Peterson attended a Swedish supper at Marquette this week at the Swedish Lutheran Church.

Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Bret and Lisa Beye, Cuyler and Chelsea of Herington were Saturday evening visitors of Mary Deane Peterson.

Burdick Hustlers 4-H Club caroled in the Burdick area Sunday afternoon and brought plates of cookies. Among those they caroled for were Neva Peterson and Evelyn Forsberg.
