Burdick: Hagebergs celebrate 47th wedding anniversary years ago

Bob and Marge Price of Atlanta, Ga., were guests from Monday through Friday of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg. They went to Abilene Wednesday evening for dinner to celebrate the 47th wedding anniversary of Gary and Marilyn and the 57th wedding anniversary of Bob and Marge, which was June 13.
Burdick United Methodist Women met Wednesday evening at the church. Ten members were present. Kathy Beneke-Bloom presided at the meeting. Devotions were given by Linda Peterson, and the lesson by Susan Carlson. Refreshments were served by Diana Jost and Jean Ecklund.
Whitney Gutsch of Herington was a Tuesday guest of her grandparents, Charles and Darlene Gutsch.
Celebrating Father's Day at noon in Abilene were Earl and Lois Peterson, Jim and Marilyn Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Ollie Peterson.
Mike and Linda Carlson stopped for a short visit Wednesday with Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Earl and Evelyn Forsberg were Thursday evening visitors of Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson.
Garth Strand and family of Buhler were Father's Day guests of Irvin and Audine Strand. They had dinner together at Council Grove.
Charles and Darlene Gutsch celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary which was June 13 by going Saturday to Al's Café. They joined Jim and Marlene Gutsch of Emporia, Edmund Steiner, and Vicky Broz of Marion who were enjoying a Father's Day outing for Edmund.
Linda Carlson and Charles and Arlene Carlson went to Wichita Tuesday to visit Cicely Karst and Rylee.
Ruth Riggin attended her great-grandson, Trevin Sader's ninth birthday party June 12 at Salina. Other guests were Chris and Tisha Bielefeld, Megan and Seth of Peabody, Lynn and Mary Sader, Lyal and Julie Sader of Salina, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Scherbring and family of Abilene and Trevin's family, Brian and Corey Sader and Brylee.
Charles and Arlene Carlson visited Saturday afternoon with Jean Brunner. Tucker Brunner of Manhattan also was a visitor.
Harry Schump of Herington and Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove were Wednesday dinner guests of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.
Mike and Linda Carlson spent Sunday afternoon with Charles and Arlene Carlson for Father's Day. They had lunch together.
Forrest and Marie Anderson were Sunday noon dinner guests of Gary and Karen Korte at Emporia. Ian Korte joined them for dinner.
Earl and Lois Peterson and Walt and Kathryn Otte went Saturday morning to Wah-Shun-Gah Days parade at Council Grove. Earl and Evelyn Forsberg also attended.
Dinner guests Monday of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg were Jack and Mary Biondolino of Carthage, Ill., Jane Miles of Abilene, Earl and Ruth Schump, Harry Schump of Herington, Wade Rickenbrode, and Savannah and Ethan Forsberg. Mary and Jane are Evelyn's cousins.
