Candidates: Time to file for election
Numerous elected positions are up for grabs in the April 3 election.
The spring election typically is considered a city and school district election and this year is no exception.
City positions are:
Burns: Mayor, five councilmen, treasurer.
Durham: Mayor and five councilmen.
Florence: Mayor, ward one councilman, ward two councilman.
Goessel: Three councilmen.
Hillsboro: Mayor, ward one councilman, ward two councilman.
Lehigh: Mayor, five councilmen.
Lincolnville: Three councilmen.
Lost Springs: Mayor, five councilmen.
Marion: Mayor.
Peabody: Mayor, three councilmen.
Ramona: Mayor, five councilmen.
Tampa: Mayor, three councilmen.
Cottonwood Valley Drainage District: Three directors.
Positions in the five county school districts are positions one, two, three, and seven. Positions one, two, and three are based on school boundaries. The seventh position is at-large.
Marion and Peabody have made changes to their districts. Marion County Clerk's office will complete new district maps soon.
