Carlsons to observe 50th wedding anniversary years ago
Gary and Shirley Carlson of Marion will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 4 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion.
Gary Carlson and Shirley Walker were married June 3, 1956, at Clay Center Methodist Church.
He has owned and operated Carlson's TV for the past 49 years. She is the director of Marion Housing Authority.
The reception will be hosted by their children, Greg and Linda Carlson, Brad Carlson, and Mitch Carlson, all of Marion, Cindy and Charlie Reece of Hillsboro, and Shirley's sister, Carolyn Hoover of Abilene; and the couple's 11 grandchildren.
