Catching up with Jared Hett
Editor's note: Marion High School 2004 graduate Jared Hett currently is a member of the Tabor College basketball team.
The Marion County Record recently caught up with the junior guard to find the answers to 10 things you may not know about him.
1.Why did you choose Tabor?
I was playing at an open gym in Hillsboro and the coach saw me, and told me to come and play. I missed it, so I gave it a try.
2. When did you first start playing basketball?
Four or five years old.
3. What's the most points you scored in any kind of basketball game?
I scored 37 in a men's league game.
4. What do you do in your free time?
Play video games
5. KU or K-State?
KU
6. What is your favorite sport besides basketball?
Does snowboarding count?
7. Would you ever want to coach?
I would like to coach high school.
8. What is your major?
Sports management.
9. Besides basketball, what career would you like to have?
Coaching. If not, then something to do with working with youth.
10. Favorite professional sports team?
Chicago Bulls.
