Central Home Care & Hospice merges years ago

Senior Citizens of Marion County, Inc. were informed Nov. 18, during its monthly meeting at Peabody Senior Center, that Central Home Care & Hospice has merged with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice of Wichita.

Robert Carlton, executive director of Central Home Care & Hospice of Newton, said the agency would continue to operate the home care aspect separately. Hospice services would be a part of the other agency, a non-profit organization.

Carlton said it will be a benefit to staff and individuals served. The agency serves Marion County residents.

The next Central Home Care & Hospice meeting will be Dec. 16 at Hillsboro Senior Center. New board members will be installed and recognition will be given to those who have served six years or more.
