Centre FFA places first at leadership meet

Centre FFA chapter finished first overall in leadership school Nov. 9 at Chaparral High School.

The senior team of Gloria Belton, Savannah Forsberg, Kristine Jirak, Julie Rziha, Jo Terwilliger, headed by chairman Allie Will, placed first in parliamentary procedure and will advance to state competition in June.

The ritual team of Belton, Andy Carlson, Nellie Hill, Jirak, Rziha, and Terwilliger finished sixth.

Belton, Heath Hill, Nellie Hill, Jirak, Rziha, and Sammi Seifert placed second in leadership information. Individually, Rziha placed first, Hill second, and Jirak fifth.

The Greenhand parliamentary procedure team of Shelby Deines, Jared Diepenbrock, Alex Hajek, Heath Hill, Seifert, and Dallas Spooner finished second.

The Greenhand ritual team of Zach Antoszyk, Diepenbrock, Hajek, Hill, Seifert, and Spooner finished first. Seifert was named master ritual president and Spooner master ritual vice president.

Deines and Spooner competed in the creed speaking contest. Spooner placed fifth.
