Centre Junior High School teams sweep White City

Thursday was an easy night for the Centre Junior High School basketball teams. Playing on their home court, all were victorious over White City.

The varsity boys won 37-19. Tyler Klenda led scoring with nine, followed by Jacob Jennings with six and Trevor Troutt with five.

Brian Burhoop, A.J. Temel, and Tanner Brunner scored four points each, Rustyn Kerbs three, and Zach Antoszyk two.

The boys' JV zapped White City, 52-2. Jessie Kopeitz scored 16 points. Jacob Jirak had eight.

Cole Svoboda, Heath Hill, Tyler Klenda, and Benjamin Wirtz, had four each; and Casey Kristek, Chris Craft, Jennings, Brunner, Ben Baker, and Stephen Kaiser, two points each.

Varsity girls won, 43-7. Jessica Deines scored 10 points, and Ripley Howard nine. Sammi Seifert and Dallas Rosenow scored six points each, Carlye Simons and Josie Peterson four points each, and DJ Chavers and Allison Shields, two point each.

The girls' JV won, 27-5. Shields was leading-scorer with 10 points, followed by Tori Schill with eight points. Rosenow added four, Chavers three, and Cassie Spohn and Amanda Floyd one each.
