Centre kindergartners take field trip

Centre Elementary School kindergartners took a field trip Friday which included stops at three places. The 22 children were accompanied by instructor Kenna Krause, aide Sharon Matz, and special education instructor Kim Smith.

Their first stop was the fire station at Lincolnville, where they learned about fire prevention and toured the station.

They then stopped at the Marion County Record office in Marion to present a basket of cookies and thank the staff for the coverage they provide the school district.

In the afternoon, they traveled to Walters' Pumpkin Patch south of Burns, where they ate lunch, enjoyed the playground, and picked pumpkins to take home.
