Little folks

Sunday church service was brought by Rick Branson.

Resident council was held Monday. Plans were made to celebrate the Fourth of July. The big thing was a watermelon feed in the courtyard. Ellen Darrow played piano in the afternoon.

Pretty up morning was Tuesday. A summer celebration was held in the afternoon. Little folks came and had a great time on water slides and in the swimming pool. Donut holes and punch were served. The kids really had a great time.

Dick Pracht led Wednesday prayer group. Khrista Branson led current events and read the Marion County Record.

Anita Bryant played the piano Thursday morning. Khrista took five residents out to eat lunch. Later she took several for short rides through the countryside.

Friday morning was the regular cookie baking with Sue Gutsch. We made pineapple-nut cookies. They were real tasty. We ate cookies and drank coffee. Really spoiled our dinner. Bingo was played in the afternoon with Irma Benda. Refreshments were served. Sue helped by repeating the numbers and helping those who are hard of hearing or who do not see well.

Gene Vinduska entertained Saturday morning with polka and waltz music on his accordion. We really want to dance. In the afternoon video movies were shown that Khrista gets from the library. Some enjoyed the outdoors and some just relaxed. This is a nice place to be. We get such good care here.
