Charges against Corona are dismissed

The Marion County Attorney's office was notified this past week that a defendant scheduled to go to trial had died.

Jesse Corona, 35, a Sedgwick County resident, was awaiting trial which was to begin May 27.

He had been charged with aggravated battery/intentional great bodily harm, aggravated endangering of a child under the age of 18, and criminal threat with intent to terrorize or cause evacuation that allegedly occurred April 18, 2007, and violation of a protective order which allegedly occurred May 12, 2007.
