ANNIVERSARIES: Charles Gutches years ago
The children of Charles and Darlene Gutsch have requested a card shower for their parents to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Charles Gutsch and the former Darlene Richmond were married June 13, 1954, at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion. They spent the majority of their married life on a farm west of Burdick. Both are retired.
Charles graduated from Wichita State University and returned to the farm after a few years working as an accountant in Wichita.
Darlene spent 17 years as the office manager at Paragon Products baby clothes factory in Herington. She also worked at Marion County FSA office and Cady Insurance Agency in Marion.
The couple has two children, son, Perry Gutsch and wife, Amy, of Herington, and daughter, Gayla Deines and husband, Jeff, of Ramona. They have five grandchildren.
