LETTERS: Chingawassa was wonderful years ago
To the Editor:
Thank you to the steering committee, the sponsors, and the many volunteers and their families for a wonderful Chingawassa Days weekend.
The Friday night barbecue and ice cream social, being in the park for the two Saturday night concerts, and the coming together of the community for a blessed worship service on Sunday is just like being part of a Norman Rockwell painting of small-town America.
Rex and I just love seeing so many friends, and actually taking time to just visit, and the Elvis entertainment will be hard to top next year!
We have purchased buttons for our entire family over the years, and now that both our children are grown, and one has a family of her own, we still purchase buttons for all of them. They love to come back to Marion for a weekend, we love to have them come, and it is a fabulous price for an entire three days of fun!
Thanks so much, once again, to all who put time into this endeavor! It is appreciated and is such a gift to the city and surrounding community.
We're looking forward to next year.
