Christmas parade is Sunday afternoon
The Sugar Plum Christmas parade will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, on Main Street from Walnut to Fifth streets.
Retail stores will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. to accommodate Christmas shoppers.
Following the parade, Santa Claus will be at his house until 4 p.m. A pet parade will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Liberty Park.
Also at Santa's house, the Central Park Improvement Committee will have a drawing for the fund-raiser quilt and baby afghan at 3 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.
At 3:15, the first Christmas Cash drawing for $100 will be held at Santa's house. You must be present to win.
The event is sponsored by Marion Chamber of Commerce retail sales committee.
