CHS golf team is regional runner-up
Centre High School golf coach Greg Wyatt is getting his wish. He will be sending a golf team to the 1A state tournament Monday at Dodge City.
A team consisting of Jacob Jennings, Adam Matz, Tyler Klenda, Heath Hill, Bryant Brunner, and Quentin Wacker qualified for state competition after they placed second out of 10 schools in the regional golf tournament Monday at Washington.
The team compiled a score of 410. Individual finishes were as follows: Jennings seventh, Matz 10th, Klenda 11th, Hill 12th, Brunner 24th, and Wacker 27th.
