CHS homecoming is Oct. 13 years ago

Centre High School is celebrating Spirit Week, leading up to crowning of the 2006 fall homecoming king and queen at 6:40 p.m. Friday at Cougar Field.

King candidates are: Thieen Antoszyk, son of John Antoszyk, Ramona, and Kim Mellstrom, Fort Riley; Seth Jirak, son of Steve and Vickie Jirak, Ramona; and Kevin Mueller, son of Donald and Francie Mueller, Tampa.

Queen candidates are: Alisha Barney, daughter of Gene and Denise Barney, Tampa; Megan Gutsch, daughter of Scott and Sharon Gutsch, Lincolnville; and Alyssa Luna, daughter of George and Dawn Luna, Antelope.

Beginning at 6 p.m., the junior class will provide a tailgate meal including hamburgers, chips, dessert, and drink.

A homecoming dance, following the 7 p.m. football game with Burrton, will feature colors of brown and pink and the theme, "Lips of An Angel," based on a song by Hinder. Complete Music, Manhattan, will be the disc jockey.

Other homecoming activities include Cougar Olympics at 7 p.m. Thursday and pep rally at 3:05 p.m. Friday, both in the high school gymnasium.
