CHS senior to design and show fashions

Shaina Makovec, a senior at Centre High School, has chosen fashion designing and organization of a fashion show as her English project.
Makovec is designing outfits for two of her classmates and will design one for herself if time permits.
She is planning a fashion show April 29 at the high school gymnasium.
In addition to her own designs being modeled, other members of her class will model clothes from their own wardrobe. Two of Makovec's younger cousins will model children's clothes.
Two boys in her class will build the runway for her show in the school shop.
Makovec chose the project because she plans to major in fashion design and marketing in college. Two professors from Kansas State University, who have planned fashion shows of their own, are assisting her.
