City to send letter about jail issue
In a special meeting Monday, Marion City Council agreed to send a letter to Marion County Commission presenting options in regards to a proposed jail site at the southeast corner of Marion Industrial Park.
A copy of the letter will be made available to the public after it is drafted.
The council also approved renewal of a Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance policy for city employees for a premium of $406.40 per month, an 8.36 percent increase from the previous year.
