CJHS girls defeat Luckey
Centre Junior High volleyball girls played Luckey in Manhattan Oct. 8.
The A team defeated Luckey in three games, 18-25, 25-23, and 25-17.
In game one, Carlye Simons was credited with five service points, Danielle Tajchamn and Kirsten Johnson, four each, Bridgette Burns and Leann Pankratz, two each, and Josie Peterson, one.
In game two, scorers were: Pankratz 22, Tajchman seven, Johnson three, Simons and Peterson two each, and Burns one.
Scorers in game three were: Simons nine, Johnson eight, Pankratz, four, Tajchman two, Peterson and Burns one each.
The B team lost in two games, 22-25, and 21-25. Coryn Correll was credited with the most total service points, 14. Others who contributed points were: Iva Kirkland five, Shelby Deines six, Sheila Makovec seven, Samantha Seifert five, Nikki Potocnik one, Roxie Suffield two, and Kati Cowan three.
The girls play White City at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at home.
