CJHS girls fall to Wakefield
In a game played Thursday at Wakefield, Centre Junior High girls were defeated, 37-21.
A stone-cold first half contributed to their loss. They were outscored 7-0 and 9-1 in the first two quarters and were down by 15 points at halftime.
They picked up their play in the second half to score a respectable 20 points in two quarters. Danielle Tajchman was leading scorer with seven points, followed by Shelby Deines with six, and Leann Pankratz and Carlye Simons with four each.
The B team won their game, 10-8 in overtime. Samantha Seifert and Simons scored four points each and Josie Peterson added two.
