CJHS girls finish 1-2 in first match
The 2006 Centre Junior High School volleyball team has 13 members. They traveled to Marquette Thursday for the first match of the season.
After a big 8-25 loss in the first game, the A team came back to win a close one, 25-23. They were defeated 11-15 in the third game and lost the match.
Scoring service points were: Ripley Howard, 7; Amanda Floyd, 5; and Allison Shields and Katie Remy, 4 each.
The B team lost in two games, 7-25 and 5-25.
Other girls on the roster include D.J. Chavers, Jessica Turley, Brianna Alvarez, Tori Schill, Cassandra Dones, Brittany Love, Katy Shaw, Theo Kassebaum, and Kristin Shaw. They are coached by Lisa Beye.
The girls will play St. Xavier Thursday at home, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
