CJHS girls trounce White City

Centre Junior High School girls' varsity netted a second league win Nov. 22 at White City. Their record now is 2-0.

The game wasn't much of a contest. White City failed to score in the first quarter, and Centre led 8-0.

The Lady Huskies made one field goal in the second quarter as the Lady Cougars doubled their scoring to lead at half-time, 24-2.

After second-half quarter scores of 6-2 and 7-4, the final score was 37-8.

Carlye Simons was Centre's leading scorer with seven points. Bridgette Burns, Shelby Deines, and Leann Pankratz added six each.

Other scorers were Danielle Tajchman and Josie Peterson, four each, and Kirsten Johnson and Samantha Seifert, two each.

The B team aced White City, 18-0 in two quarters of play. Deines, Seifert, and Simons contributed four points each. Burns, Johnson, and Sheila Makovec scored two points each.
