Class of 1956 celebrates anniversary years ago

Members of Marion High School class of 1956 celebrated the 50th anniversary of their graduation Sept. 30 during Old Settlers' Day weekend.

Attendees ate dinner Friday evening at the Harvey House at Florence, lunch at Country Lakes Café in Marion Saturday, and had a catered meal Saturday evening at Holy Family Activity Center, Marion.

The class sponsored a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament Friday afternoon with proceeds to the class flower fund. The class also sponsored a talent program Saturday afternoon in the park, and gave away $56 to Mary Ecker of Wichita.

Joining the class Saturday evening were school faculty and staff members Pauline (Best) Edmunds, Betty Childs, Betty Kellum, and Bill Wygle.
