Classens plan reception to celebrate 50th anniversary years ago
Matthew and Mary Kay Classen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 with a reception for friends and family at St. Mark's Activity Center, Marion.
The event will be hosted by their children, Mike and Angela Classen of Topeka and Sherry and James Bureman of Springfield, Mo. The couple also has three grandchildren.
Mary Kay Warren and Matthew Classen were married Aug. 26, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline.
The couple has lived in Marion since 1963. He was president of Marion National Bank for 38 years. Mary Kay is a housewife and actively involved in local church, civic, and service activities.
They are members of Holy Family Catholic Church.
