Clegg is male lead in theatre production of Evita at Salina

Thomas Clegg will play Che in the Salina Community Theatre production of "Evita."

Performances are scheduled for the following two weekends, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and March 2-5. Showtimes are 7 p.m. for Thursday performances, 8 p.m. for Friday and Saturday performances, and 2 p.m. for Sunday matinees.

The musical tells the story of Argentina's controversial First Lady, Eva Peron, saint to the working-class. The story is told through a score that fuses haunting chorales with exuberant Latin, pop, and jazz influences.

Clegg is a graduate of Centre High School and a student at Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina. He is the son of Melissa and Chris Stuchlik of Lincolnville.

Tickets for "Evita" are $21 for adults; $18 for seniors (Thursdays only); and $12 for youth (12 and under).
