Couple plans December wedding

Charles and Tammie West of Dodge City and Joel Schmidt of Greensburg announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Leah Cathryn Schmidt, to Clayton Ison Kerbs, son of Glenn and Eloise Kerbs of Dodge City.
Grandparents of the bride are Mabel Schmidt of Greensburg, Dona Wallace of Dodge City, and the late John Schmidt and John Wallace.
The groom is the grandson of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs of Tampa, Bill and Bernita Carl of Mesa, Ariz., and the late Billy Ison.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Dodge City High School and currently is attending Metropolitan Community College, Omaha, Neb. She will complete her studies in early childhood development in July 2006.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Dodge City High School and attends Creighton University, Omaha, Neb. He will graduate in May 2006 with a degree in exercise science.
The couple plans to be married in December 2005, at First Christian Church, Dodge City.
